Directives of the educational sector in Pedro Betancourt prepare for the new school year .

The preparations for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year attracted the attention of the main leaders of the educational sector and the highest political and governmental authorities of Pedro Betancourt  municipality.

One of the main issues addressed was the deficient teaching coverage in the town and Edilberto Casanova Armenteros, provincial director of Education, urged to accelerate the implementation of strategies to solve this worrying situation and guarantee the quality of the educational teaching process.

Gladys Rodríguez Lopez, mayor of the territory, expressed the willingness of the local leaders and their actions towards the constructive improvement of the municipality’s educational facilities.

She also emphasized on  the need to speed up the distribution and marketing of school uniforms, the certification of the different educational centers and the control of the prices of school lunches and snacks, as well as the transportation of students and teaching staff and, consequently, the flexibilization of school schedules.

Other important issues were also addressed, such as the application of hygienic-sanitary measures and preventive work to enhance the health and welfare of students, as well as the improvement of the pedagogical and didactic preparation system for teachers and the political-ideological work with students in the complex socio-economic context in which the country is developing.
