Inauguration of second MICONS children’s house in Matanzas.
The house has room for 14 children of workers from the Materials Company, the Escambray Commercialization Company, the Architecture and Engineering Projects Company and will also be able to include children from the community.
In the presence of Mario Sabines Lorenzo, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, the second children’s house of the Ministry of Construction (MICONS) in Matanzas was inaugurated.
In his account of X Sabines Lorenzo stressed that the construction of buildings of this type not only favors the development of this variant of early childhood education, but also favors the welfare of working mothers.
The little house is located in the well-known neighborhood of Pueblo Nuevo, an excellent option for those who have long been waiting for a place in children’s circles, which also has in the MICONS one of the sectors with the highest demand for capacities.
This investment, which was made in record time, belongs to the Construction and Assembly Company of the city of Matanzas and is characterized by the good taste in the design of the spaces where the children of the entity’s workers will receive training in those decisive early ages.
The little house has a capacity for 14 children of the workers of the Materials Company, of the Escambray Commercialization Company, of the Architecture and Engineering Projects Company and will also be able to attend to the children of the mothers of the community.
The first MICONS children’s house in Yumurinos was built by the General Contractor Company of Varadero and the Hicacos Construction Company, which is now joined by Peques a la Obra, to complete a total of nine in the province.
This initiative «will continue strongly in 2024», announced Vice Governor Marieta Poey and this is possible, she pointed out, thanks to the fact that the entities, based on their economic and material conditions, can allocate funds for its opening, maintenance and guarantee of sustainability.
