Matanzas to host convention on agribusiness development

Matanzas will host in 2024 the VII International Agrodevelopment Convention, organized by the Indio Hatuey Experimental Station of Pastures and Forages, as an opportunity to present scientific results and experiences on sustainable agriculture.

The topics will revolve around various themes such as rural entrepreneurship and ecotourism; women and inclusive agricultural development; territorial agricultural transformation; sustainable energy transition in agriculture; agroecology; biodiversity and sustainable agricultural development; bioproducts for resilient agriculture; sericulture and value chains, among others.

In addition to workshops and conferences on agroecological development, the event will hold a Pre-Congress Workshop on open scientific knowledge, to discuss open access to research and scientific knowledge in general.

Those interested in participating should send a short abstract of up to 350 words, or an extended abstract of no more than five pages, containing the objectives, materials and methods used in the research, its most important results, conclusions and main bibliographical references, to the e-mail address of the convening entity before June 30th, 2024.

To be held in October next year at the Plaza America Convention Center in Varadero, the International Agrodevelopment Convention invites researchers, professors and producers from around the world to meet to discuss the latest trends in sustainable agricultural development.
