Matanzas wins title in All-Star Series.
The Cocodrilos de Matanzas defeated the Estrellas team 12×2, in the dispute for the title of the quadrangular tournament held at the Victoria de Girón stadium in the city of Matanzas.
In another game of overflowing offense, the team led by Armando Ferrer took advantage from the start when the leadoff hitter Yurisbel Gracial hit his fourth home run and drove a pair of teammates to the plate.
Gracial was key for the Matanzas team in the batting box, as he drove in 14 runs for the Saurios in this series alone.
On the other hand, the Estrellas, led by Yuliesky González had a pale day in which pitcher Yadian Martínez kept them from reaching home; they barely managed to score a couple of runs.
The tournament podium was made up of Matanzas, the Elite League Estrellas and Venezuela in that order.
The South Americans in their only victory in the series defeated Mexico 8×3 and snatched the 3rd place in the All-Star Series of Cuban baseball.
