«In the first version of the initiative, professionals from the hotel and extra-hotel sector will participate with presentations and results of how equipment is recovered and improvements are introduced to make tourist products more attractive in a province like this one, which decides in the country for the income it brings,» Ibia Betancourt, sub-delegate of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in this western territory, assured Trabajadores.
She announced the Plaza America Convention Center as the venue of the event, a sort of showcase of what has been done in favor of increasing the competitiveness of the Matanzas destination from knowledge, to generate optimal experiences, capture non-traditional markets, and raise the arrival rates of the usual issuers.
The Tourism Innovation Forum will be an eloquent demonstration of the resilience of this industry, a favorite victim of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade, which takes away so many foreign visitors from Cuba with measures contained in this criminal policy that even prevent U.S. citizens from enjoying the island’s leisure benefits as tourists.
While the event is in session, entertainment activities will be developed to socialize, exchange and offer recreational options in the commercial part of Plaza America, taking advantage of the fact that we are closing the year, said the sub-delegate of the MINTUR.
The Forum of Tourism Innovation in Matanzas will take place at an important moment in the season of greatest arrival of international visitors to this destination, marked by its integrality, as it has sun and beach, nature and city offers.
