Armando Ferrer’s squad rebounded from their initial two losses, defeating the Havana team by a score of nine runs to three.

The Matanzas batters collected a total of 15 hits, backing up an excellent performance on the mound by left-hander Yoennis Yera, the manager’s choice to start the game.

The left-hander from the Martí municipality pitched six complete innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs, to earn the win and his second consecutive quality start.

Regarding his strong performance in the game, the starting pitcher for the Reds and Yellows noted that he focused on consistently leading off the batters and avoiding repeating pitches against a lineup of high-caliber players.
