Bodybuilding and Fitness Festival Held in Matanzas
The Las Palmas cultural center in Matanzas hosted the eighth edition of the Bodybuilding and Fitness Festival for beginner and junior category athletes.
The usual rains of this time of year in the national territory forced a delay somewhat longer than planned in the activity, which began with the junior category athletes, covering young people up to 18 years of age.
In the junior bikini modality, the winner was María Carla Águila Morejón, while also in the competition among women, Chalizee De la Caridad Pérez took the title among the junior-age wellness competitors.
In the bodybuilding modality for the youngest, athlete Alaín Abreu Martín secured first place, while in the beach physique modality the award went to Victor Pérez González.
The competition continued with the event for beginners, where the first to come out were the women in the bikini category up to 1.57 meters, where Rosalí Rodríguez La Rosa prevailed, who also crowned herself absolute champion; in the bikini section over 1.57 meters, the winner was Sheila Díaz Hernández.
Chalizee De la Caridad Pérez achieved first place among beginner wellness competitors, while Aitana Méndez Quiñones finished second in that same category.
In the men’s beginner division, Diego Cejas won the men’s physique category up to 1.72 meters in height and also established himself as absolute monarch of beach physique, while Yoelvis Álvarez Cuba dominated the contest over 1.72 meters.
Hamlet de León García crowned himself absolute bodybuilding champion while also earning the distinction as best poser of the competition in its 2026 edition.
The activity was attended by directors of the ACFC at the national level, as well as sponsors from Belarus who praised the potential of Matanzas athletes for future endeavors.
The provincial Bodybuilding and Fitness championship in Matanzas will take place next November 7, and competitors are already enthusiastically awaiting the moment to step back onto the platform.
