Latin American culture is highlighted in Pedro Betancourt (+audio).

A fruitful panel on Latin American and Caribbean music was held by several researchers and cultural personalities at the Municipal Education Office of Pedro Betancourt.

According to Demetrio Elizalde Sotomayor, retired from the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, the exchange dealt with the influence of the other peoples of the Patria Grande and their main exponents in the Cuban culture and, especially, in the Pedro Betancourt locality.

Elizalde Sotomayor also recognized the potential of the conclave to rescue the history, traditions and artistic manifestations that unite us with the other countries of the region.

Among melodies, dances, literature and much more, the panel on Latin American and Caribbean Music became a space to extol the cultural diversity of the continent and to promote the historical ties of friendship that our Island shares with the nations that make it up.
