Cubanacan prepares for Varadero Gourmet.

With their sights set on triumphing in the Varadero Gourmet Festival 2024, workers from hotels operated by Cubanacán participated in the competitive contests of cooking, gastronomic service, sommelier, classic style cocktails and flair.
Brisas del Caribe was the venue for an event characterized by the professionalism and high competence of the contestants, a host rewarded with the excellent performance of its contestants, who won first place in cocktails, while the best cooking team was that of the Royalton Hicacos Hotel.
After this stage at the base, the winners of the famous seaside resort will face another real test of fire when they compete against other contenders at the level of Grupo Hotelero Cubanacán, as great rivalry is expected among the gastronomic teams and the first places in cocktails.
The bartenders showed off their interpretation of a classic Cuban cocktail, with avant-garde techniques based on evolutions such as the Mojito, Cuba Libre, Habana Special, among others.
The dishes illustrated the haute cuisine of this Island, culinary art shown to a jury with a four-course menu: cold starter, hot dish, main course and dessert.
A significant note is the fact that the participants had to defend their elaborations in English, which guarantees the rigor of what was done, considered Yobany Gil, Cubanacán’s sub-delegate in the main Cuban resort.
