Hot bell pepper exports through Varadero airport.
The possibilities offered for the placement of products outside the border, using flights connected to the Juan Gualberto Gómez international airport, have just been endorsed with the Seed Company of the province of Cienfuegos.
With the help of the export-import pole of this province and managed by the forwarding agency Aerovaradero S.A., the Chilean habanero chili bell pepper, of intense spicy flavor, was transported by Sunwing airline, the northern company with the largest number of flights through the so-called Varadero aerodrome.
«Excellent news. Exports began for the Empresa de Semillas y Horquitas of the habanero chili bell pepper product, through the province’s Polo Importación y Exportación for which Aerovaradero S.A. managed the transportation through the Sunwing airline, from the Varadero airport. Yes we can,» Osmany Sánchez, a communicator at the air terminal, posted on Facebook.
The cultivation of habanero peppers is accompanied by the technical rigor of an ecological crop, carefully cared for from the beginning until it is planted, a process that is then subjected to sanitary inspections, said specialists in a report by Perla Visión television station.
In the fertile lands of the municipality of Cienfuegos Abreu, peppers grow with a yield of ten to eleven tons, a balance made possible by the dedication of managers and workers, who make it possible to export, one of the strategic objectives of the Cuban economy to obtain fresh foreign currency.
