July 26 in Matanzas: May the heroic act of Moncada be with us always (+audio and photos).

Morfa Gonzalez valued the eternal example of the anniversary for a province where despite the difficulties «it has not ceased to resist and create to maintain the conquests achieved by the Revolution» and in favor of the welfare of the people.

The First Secretary of the Party summarized some results, among which are the delivery of money for the execution of subsidies for families in vulnerable situations, the approval of 98 million pesos for community support in the neighborhoods, the completion of six children’s houses, the delivery of houses to mothers with three or more children and the protection with social assistance to more than 15 thousand families .

In the case of Public Health, he pondered the structural optimization in about 100 Family Doctor and Nurse offices, in 28 polyclinics and in the vital services of hospitals such as Comandante Faustino Pérez.

In relation to food production, she announced the fulfillment of the sowing of the spring campaign and called on Lenin, Genética de Matanzas, Victoria de Girón and Máximo Gómez companies to advance faster and more efficiently, because «this is what the people demand and we will demand it».

She called for actions aimed at achieving greater welfare in sports, culture, health and the achievements of the Revolution.

Promoting the production of local construction materials continues to be a challenge in the purpose of fulfilling the housing plans.

Just in the year of the 330th anniversary of the founding of the city of Matanzas, the First Secretary of the Party called to work in the province with the maximum possible beauty, aesthetic taste and culture of detail in everything that is designed and made. «Socialism is beauty,» Morfa affirmed.

Moncada’s 70th Anniversary Collective Award

One of the most relevant moments of the political-cultural event took place with the awarding of the Moncada 70th Anniversary Collective Distinction, instituted for the only time by the National Secretariat of the Cuban Workers’ Central (CTC) to recognize the 70 centers in the country with the best economic and union performance.

From the hands of Isdalys Rodríguez and Osmar Ramírez, second general secretary of the CTC in the country and general secretary of this organization in Matanzas, respectively, four large companies received the trophy, such as Agroforestal Matanzas, Perforación y Extracción Petróleo Centro and Proyectos de Arquitectura e Ingeniería (EMPAI) and the Royalton Hicacos Hotel.

This ceremony was also attended by Major General Andrés Laureano González Brito; the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levi; the National President of INDER Osvaldo Vento Montiller, and the Minister President of the Central Bank of Cuba, Joaquín Alonso Vázquez.

With the provincial act for the National Rebellion Day, Matanzas also gave itself a beautiful morning, as a reward for its Special Recognition obtained in the emulation for the headquarters of the 70th anniversary of the central activities for July 26th.
