Building a better trade union movement from the contributions of each collective, defines the purpose of the men and women of the Ministry of Construction (MICONS) who will represent Matanzas in the final sessions of the 22nd Congress of the Cuba Trade Union (CTC).

«To the April 2025 appointment we will take our experiences in that path of continuous improvement of the management of cadres and leaders in all structures, especially at the base,» said Misael Rodriguez Llanes, general secretary of the National Union of Construction Workers (SNTC).

At the headquarters of the Architecture and Engineering Projects Company (EMPAI), the constitution of the delegation of this sector to the conclave took place, one of the most relevant moments of the organic process of the 22nd Congress of the CTC.

Rodriguez Llanes highlighted the value of the six elected members, all of whom, he said, have a rich labor trajectory and as union leaders, among which stand out the two from Varadero, part of an army of white helmets who are the mainstays in the construction of hotels that contribute to the national economy.

He referred to the delegate for the private sector, consistent with his performance and because Matanzas is the province with the most new economic actors in the construction industry and, in the particular case of Habital, fundamental in the development of the housing program and social works in the province. This MSME is an example of what is needed in the country.

He praised the fact that Jorge Luis Hernández Rodríguez, direct delegate of EMPAI, where he is the general director, leader of a group with increasingly superior results, 29 times National Vanguard, is also part of the select group.

The Matanzas delegation also includes Armando Roncourt Copello, experienced secretary general of the trade union bureau of BCOA 36, Javier Gómez Pérez, director of Habital, Leonardo Vidal Colina, secretary general of the trade union bureau of the International Economic Association ARCOS-BBI, Misael Rodríguez Llanes, secretary general of the SNTC, and Yarasí Soto Serrano, secretary general of the CTC Municipal Committee in Limonar.
