The outstanding artist, a member of the new batch of the Buena Vista Social Club, informed us that it was «an immense honor to have the presence of lute master Barbarito Torres Delgado, one of the most important musicians of our country».
They interpreted five works that belong to the triptych «Clásico entre Puentes», of the Record and Music Publishing House Producciones Colibrí, recorded with the maestro Iván Valiente and Ensemble Solistas de La Habana, in homage to the Athens of Cuba, cradle of the danzón, our National Dance.
Falcón added that he will soon give news of the digital and physical release of this recording project.
Among his latest achievements is the composition of the song «Velando por ti», which is part of the soundtrack of the Cuban soap opera «Renacer», with beautiful lyrics written by violinist Brenda Chávez Aguilar.
Alejandro Falcón is one of the nominees for the White Prize, awarded by the Association of Musicians of the UNEAC Matanzas.
