Matanzas UNEAC members denounce attacks against Cuban artists.

In the country and in the world, intellectuals continue to make statements in support of the National Literature Prize winner Nancy Morejon and the Buena Fe duo, victims of insults and attacks in European countries by anti-Revolutionary elements.

The latest news is the signing of a letter by personalities from different sectors and nations in solidarity with the Cubans, in which they express their commitment to fight for peace, against racism and social and gender inequalities and for the freedom of peoples.

Precisely, in the Atenas de Cuba, the Tertulia de la Matanceridad was the ideal scenario to expose the denunciation of the Provincial Committee of the UNEAC and the Aponte Commission to these acts of fascism.

In the important space, led by filmmaker Leo Ernesto García Ramos, first vice-president of the organization, renowned academics and professionals supported the declaration of repudiation.

It was also a meeting marked by the ephemeris, because among the attendees were librarians and museologists to enjoy the inauguration of the exhibition Almas Caras, graduation thesis of the student Néstor Castañeda Gil, from the Professional School of Art.

According to the information of the communicator Frank Ortega Sosa, in the varied program of the gathering, the recent Doctorate in Sciences of the Historian of the City Ercilio Vento Canosa was highlighted.

For his part, Leonel Pérez Orozco, City Curator, updated the guests on the works being developed on Comercio Street that will change the image of that area for the 330th anniversary of the founding of San Carlos and San Severino de Matanzas.

The Hearts Gallery Project was also highlighted for its recent results, which motivated poets to read their works together with the participation of the singer Alfonsito Lloréns.

Matanzas intellectuals reject fascist acts against Cuban artists and support the letter of international personalities in the struggle for peace, against racism and social inequalities, and for the freedom of peoples.
