News from the XIII Todas las Manos Todas Projects Fair.

The XIII Feria de Proyectos Todas las Manos Todas, organized by UNEAC in Matanzas, offers attractive proposals with the participation of projects such as Tocororo, Fábrica de Palabras, Galería Corazones and Cocomar, which stand out for their hard work and good taste.
Through handicrafts, songs, poetry and dances, the fair emphasizes the promotion of human values and the preservation of the most beautiful traditions of Matanzas.
Since its beginning on the 20th, the event has been described as successful and its actions will be extended until next Saturday 25th. Dozens of community cultural projects participate in the event, exchanging experiences and showing the work carried out during the current year.
Many of these projects have been involved since the first fairs, as is the case of the Sueños Conquistados Artistic Brigade, made up of people with intellectual, sensory or physical disabilities and their mothers.
This movement arose in 2010 at the initiative of Nancy Vázquez, senior specialist at the Community Initiative Exchange and Reference Center (CIERIC).
Likewise, Maravillas de la Infancia, Corcel de Esperanza and Reparadores de sueños and the popular peñas Maíz Regado, Café Mezclao, Té Conté and La Rumba soy yo, dedicated to traditions, have stood out for their incursion into the communities at UNEAC’s Social House.
On this occasion, the Peña Té Conté featured the Donaire Dance Company of the Bonifacio Byrne House of Culture; the Palacio de Junco Provincial Museum, which exhibited a special type of castanets; and the Gener and Del Monte Provincial Library, which presented the book La Fiesta Catalana.
As for La Rumba soy yo, it featured the performance of Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, raising the Guaguancó and especially the Rumba, Intangible Heritage of Humanity, from the rhythmic beat of the batá drums, in this fair of community cultural projects.
AKT Tejo, Atenas Danzón, Barquito de Papel, Trébol Rojo and Mujeres de Palabra, Memorias de Danza Espiral and the workshop Rescate de la historia del Castillo de San Severino also expressed their art.
The specialist Vazquez Fernandez, told this media that this important event has among its objectives the direct work at the neighborhood or village level with children and youth, together with national programs for the advancement of women, against Racism and Discrimination.
Referring to this significant event, he said, «These days our projects are presented in work centers, schools, in various cultural squares and of course in our Social House, where the usual spaces are in function of the Fair.
«The closing of the 25th in the morning will be characterized by the beauty of the performances that will make up the Closing Gala in the emblematic Plaza de la Vigía, which will pay homage to the maximum promoter of national culture, Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz.»
