Workers of the educational sector in Pedro Betancourt contribute to agricultural development.

With the aim of contributing to food sovereignty and promoting interest in agricultural careers among the new generations, the CCS Victoria de Girón of the municipality hosted a volunteer work carried out by students and teachers of the Leonor Pérez Cabrera polytechnic school of the town.

Dionisio Fernández Suárez, president of the cooperative, acknowledged the benefits of these initiatives which, in terms of labor force, planting, cleaning of flower beds and other activities, encourage food production in the territory.

Arnaldo Cerulia Galano, a specialist from the local Agricultural Delegation, emphasized the need to continue carrying out these tasks, as well as the importance of strengthening the relationship between the students and agricultural work.

As part of the third improvement of the teaching-educational process, the Leonor Pérez Cabrera Polytechnic School is carrying out various productive actions together with different local organizations and agencies, with a view to achieving food sovereignty, increasing production and, consequently, guaranteeing municipal self-sufficiency.
