Matanzas construction delegation to the National Conference.
In the afternoon of Thursday, September 7th, the Matanzas delegation to the final sessions of the Second Conference of the Construction Workers Union (SNTC), which also includes those who work in the Hydraulic Resources sector, was flagged off.
Saskia Avila, from the Housing system, read the commitment on behalf of the delegates, in the ceremony that put an end to a process initiated at the base and which had its highest point in the Provincial Conference.
Starting tomorrow, September 8th, the banner will tour labor collectives of the Ministry of Construction (MICONS) and it will be a moment of reflection and commitment in a sector called to raise quality and meet deadlines, Yudey Blanco, general secretary of the provincial Construction Workers Union, told Radio 26.
Presiding over the solemn act were Misael Rodríguez Llanes, general secretary of the SNTC; Osmar Ramírez Ramírez, general secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Cuba Trade wirkers Union and representatives of the MICONS.
On October 13th and 14th will be the final sessions of the National Conference, which will gather 150 delegates and 30 guests from the country, 18 of which are from Matanzas, among them two direct delegates and two guests.
The diversity of economic actors, including private ones, characterizes a delegation that brings to the important meeting claims related to workers’ income, labor fluctuation, quality of works and the powers granted to the Socialist State Enterprise, not extended and fully exploited in this strategic sphere.
