The renowned actress, director, and professor Miriam Muñoz Benítez, winner of the 2025 National Theater Award, will be a special guest at the 21st Havana Theater Festival, which will be held from the 8th to the 16th of this month and is dedicated to the integral presence of women on the Cuban stage.

As a testament to this vibrant scene, theater lovers can enjoy the Teatro Icarón group’s acclaimed play «Autopsy of Paradise,» by playwright Roberto Viña. The play, which won the 2016 Virgilio Piñera Playwriting Award, will be directed by Miriam Muñoz and Lucre Estévez and will be performed on Saturday the 15th at 5:00 p.m. at Nave Oficio del Arte, as part of the Escena Rebelde program. This performance is recommended for teenagers.

Also participating in the Havana festival, Teatro de las Estaciones, is the play «Un rastro en las estrellas» (A Trace in the Stars), directed by Rubén Darío Salazar, National Theater Award winner, from Tuesday to Thursday at five in the afternoon in the Adolfo Llauradó hall of the Vicente Revuelta cultural complex.
There will be theoretical discussions featuring presentations by Matanzas natives on topics related to children and directing teenagers.
From November 8th to 16th, at the 21st Havana Theater Festival, Cuban groups Teatro Tuyo, El Ciervo Encantado, Teatro El Público, Estudio Teatral Macubá, and Teatro Andante will perform, as well as Los Cuenteros, Teatro Rumbo, La Franja Teatral, and Impulso Teatro.
This edition will include groups from Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Russia, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, all performing on 25 stages.
With a thematic focus on gender and inclusive language, the festival will be dedicated to the centenary of actress and educator Raquel Revuelta, a key figure in contemporary Cuban theater.
