A born community leader (+photos).
Berta Lidia Suárez Gazmuri is a born community leader, enjoying everything she undertakes in the company of her neighbors, friends and co-workers.
Some women like Berta Lidia Suárez Gazmuri have the ability to make people follow her and participate with her in every task she proposes.
I imagine that this gift comes from her daily actions at home, where she manages to get the family to join in the household chores, or from her affable and jaranero character, which has earned her active permanence in the Cuban Women’s Federation (FMC) until today.

Bertica, as she is called in her block, where she is also considered a born community leader, studied at the former EFECI (Escuela de Formación de Educadoras de Círculos Infantiles) in the capital city of Yumurina, a school that was her second home under the tutelage of Juana Ortiz Ricardo. There she was part of the first graduation in 1980.
Her working life began in the children’s circles Estrellita Roja, of the Playa Popular Council and Día de la Infancia. Later, at the request of the Party, she served as municipal secretary of the FMC in Matanzas.
Her results in the fulfillment of her duties contributed to her becoming an official of this organization at the provincial level, where she currently holds the position of Social Work and Prevention specialist.
Berta Suárez Gazmuri is happy in every task she carries out together with other women.
This tireless woman belongs to the support commission for the delegate in her district; she was a member of the Ceremonial Battalion of the Territorial Troops Militias; she joins the vanguard in the surveillance of the CDRs; and she holds the Exemplary Educator seal and the 23rd of August distinction.
The full enjoyment of everything she undertakes in the company of her neighbors, friends and co-workers makes Berta Lidia Suárez Gazmuri a born community leader.
