Pedro Betancourt celebrates 64 years of the FMC with a generous initiative (+photos).
As part of the activities for the 64th anniversary of the FMC, the Casa de Orientación a la Mujer y la Familia of Pedro Betancourt municipality organized a party for young people reaching their 15 years of age, belonging to vulnerable families.
As part of the activities for the 64th anniversary of the FMC, the Casa de Orientación a la Mujer y la Familia of Pedro Betancourt municipality organized a party for young people reaching their 15 years of age, belonging to vulnerable families.
The altruistic initiative, originated in 2022 and widely supported by the people of Betancourt, was attended by the highest political and governmental authorities and representatives of mass organizations and institutions, as well as family and friends of the girls and boys being honored.
Likewise, Eduardo Díaz Souza, affectionately known as Eddy, received the gratitude of those present for once again lending his services of wardrobe and photography, as well as his own hall to materialize the emotional celebration.
Díaz Souza, who previously received the August 23rd Distinction in the provincial act of the organization, for his enormous contributions to the the FMC activity , was also recognized by the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power (AMPP) and the Direction of Culture in the town.
The activity also became a scenario to congratulate the meritorious role of women in the Antillean revolutionary work, to pay tribute to the legacy of Vilma Espín Guillois and Fidel Castro Ruz and, therefore, to ratify the commitment of its members to the welfare, empowerment and quality of life of the Betancourian federates.
