ANCI’s Assembly meets in Pedro Betancourt

With the premise of promoting social inclusion and the welfare of people with disabilities, the assembly for the renewal and/or ratification of mandates of the National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired (ANCI) was held in Pedro Betancourt municipality.

In the exchange, those present stressed the importance of knowing the main legislation and policies aimed at improving the quality of life of people with disabilities, as well as to sensitize society regarding access and equal opportunities for this sector of the population. This was communicated to our radio station by Julia Elia Gaston Gaston Chacon, vice president of the National Council of ANCI.

In her concluding remarks, Arlén González Luis, member of the Municipal Bureau of the Party in the locality, praised the work of ANCI in the stage and urged to reinforce the intersectoral work among the community factors in order to guarantee the rights and the improvement of people with disabilities.

Local organizations were also encouraged for their meritorious work in conjunction with ANCI, as well as outstanding associates for their protagonism, proactivity and contributions to the proper functioning of the organization, whose presidency was once again in charge of Yamilia Cabrera Lamber.
