In Matanzas, a signature of respect for the peoples of the world.
The signing of the Code of Ethics of the Cadres of the Cuban Revolution also encloses the respect that prevails in the friendly relations between Cuba and other peoples of the world, said Teresa Rubio Perez, delegate of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) in the province of Matanzas.
After signing the agreement in a brief ceremony held at the Freedom Park in this city, Rubio Perez exclusively told the Cuban News Agency that for years the ties between the Caribbean nation and other countries were built on the basis of respect for ideas and also for political differences.
Promoting solidarity as a principle of our work and defending the achievements of the Revolution inside and outside the national territory are among today’s challenges, said the ICAP delegate, who praised Fidel Castro’s legacy as an example of the values contained in ethics as a whole.
Rubio Perez also pointed out the cardinal importance of adding friends in the current times, who in his opinion could become another force in the battle waged by the island against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government.
This February 24th, a date of historical remembrance of the homeland, Susely Morfa González, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and first secretary of the organization in the province of Matanzas, and Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor of the territory, among other authorities, attended the signing of the Code of Ethics of the Cadres of the Cuban Revolution.
Morfa Gonzalez publicly stated that this process cannot become a formal act, but requires a deepening of the content in order to comply with it and enforce it, as the only way to correspond to the people’s trust.
The Code of Ethics of the Cadres of the Cuban Revolution highlights and defines in essence fundamental values such as patriotism, anti-imperialism, fidelity, honesty, honor, discipline, altruism, solidarity, professionalism, humanism, collaboration, probity, responsibility, transparency and austerity.
