Evoking the historical significance of January 1, 1959, and reaffirming institutional and community continuity in defense of the nation’s ideals were the central themes of the municipal ceremony commemorating the 67th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, held at the Cuba Theater in Pedro Betancourt.

With the presence of political and governmental authorities, center staff, directors and representatives of mass organizations, and the general public, the event provided an opportunity to recognize a group of individuals and organizations distinguished for their work during this period, their dedication, and their sustained contributions to the socioeconomic development of the region.

Likewise, a group of comrades joined the ranks of the Party and the Union of Young Communists, receiving membership cards that accredit them as members of both political organizations, in a moving gesture of revolutionary reaffirmation and safeguarding of socialist achievements.
In his address, Royslán Cámbara Sosa, First Secretary of the Party in the locality, highlighted the historical significance of the 1959 victory as a decisive event for the Island, emphasized the importance of maintaining cohesion and discipline in carrying out each task, and urged the new generations to firmly embrace the commitment to uphold the revolutionary project championed by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The gathering was enlivened by talents from the town’s amateur artists’ movement with performances encompassing diverse artistic expressions, and those present praised the greatness and permanence of the Revolution, sustained for more than six decades of resistance and achievements, as a guarantee of continuity and future.
