The Cuban seaside resort of Varadero hosts the IV edition of the Skate Marathon 2025, with the participation of young skaters and even people over 50 years old.
This event has gained relevance in recent years setting a record number of around 420 athletes, including foreigners from Colombia and Canada.
«It is important that the Federation and the National Commission put all their efforts because we hope that in the future it will become a recognized international event, or a Pan-American stop,» commented David Mesa Rivero, president of the Cuban Skating Federation.
Among the modalities competing are Speed Slalom, Jump, SkateCroos and the 40 km Marathon, the latter being the main event of Skate Marathon 2025, in which members of the Cuban national skating team will participate.
