The restoration of the Supertanker Base marks a significant step toward normalizing operations at one of the most important facilities for the national economy.

The Matanzas Construction and Assembly Company continues its restoration work on the Supertanker Base, a crucial process following the fire that damaged the facilities.
The goal of this effort is to restore the operational capacity of this strategic infrastructure, vital for the region’s energy development.
GEOCUBA is collaborating on this task, having sent two expert surveyors to perform essential services on-site. Their work focuses on re-establishing the support structures and connecting the tanks.
This ensures that all structures are installed according to the highest safety and quality standards.
Yosvani Corrales Gómez, the geodesist in charge of the project, noted that they have been working on the project for three months, during which time they have overcome numerous challenges, especially regarding the complexities of the terrain.
Their experience and dedication are key to the successful progress of the restoration, reflecting their commitment to quality and excellence in the work.
The Integrated Directorate of Supertanker Projects (DIP) oversees and finances the project. It is the entity responsible for coordinating the activities necessary for the base’s recovery.
Collaboration among the various parties involved is essential to meet the established deadlines, a crucial step toward ensuring Matanzas’ energy stability.
The restoration of the Supertanker Base not only represents a significant achievement in the region’s energy infrastructure, but also marks an important step toward normalizing operations at one of the most important facilities for the national economy.
