Young Tourism Professionals to Enhance Their Training in China

As a result of cooperation agreements in Higher Education between Cuba and China, young people from various hotel facilities of the Cubanacán trading company in the country will be able to pursue postgraduate studies, published the entity on its Facebook profile.

Professionals from several accommodations were beneficiaries of scholarships granted by the Government of the Asian Giant, reiterated the post, which immediately had the reaction of directors of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in the eastern region of Holguín — a destination that will be represented by at least three workers.

Hua Xin, Chinese ambassador in Havana, expressed that each year his country provides 60 spots for human resources training in the area of postgraduate studies and training, which represents the largest number of scholarships for a Latin American country, published the Radio Habana Cuba website.

«China builds the largest educational system in the world and has top-level higher education resources.

«We trust that its excellent educational platform and favorable research conditions will help you become highly qualified professionals at the international level,» urged the ambassador.

Reynaldo Velázquez Zaldívar, Vice Minister of Higher Education, recognized that with this scholarship award for young Cubans, they have already trained more than a thousand students.

This scholarship program is a clear example of academic exchange and collaboration between the two governments, indicated the Cuban official.

He recalled that previously there were similar exchanges that began in 1963 with the arrival of the first Cuban scholarship holders to China, and a year later with the hosting of young Chinese in the Caribbean island to study Spanish, under the vision of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro.

At the time of writing this note, Radio 26 could not specify whether any quota corresponded to the Matanzas destination among those selected — a territory that did have several spots in the group of graduates of a two-year master’s degree recently completed at the Chinese University of Technology and Business in Beijing.

«We received the young people who were studying Master’s degrees for a period of two years in the People’s Republic of China. Their experiences and knowledge will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and customer satisfaction,» praised on his social networks Yobany Gil, Cubanacán delegate in Matanzas.
