10th Anniversary of the National Union of Energy and Mines in Matanzas (+photos).

From September 8th to 11th, the banner of the Tenth Anniversary of the National Union of Energy and Mines remained in Matanzas, with a tour of labor collectives of this strategic sector to encourage outstanding entities in the goals and services to the people.
With a ceremony in the early hours of the morning, the flag’s passage through the Yumurino territory was concluded, according to the official page on the social network Facebook of the Cuba Trade Workers Union in Matanzas.
The event recognized linemen who participated in the electric recovery in areas affected by Hurricane Idalia in the province of Pinar del Río.
In addition, Sahilys Torrientes, secretary of the union bureau in the CUPET Fuel Commercialization Division, read a letter sent by the National Union of Energy and Mines Workers on the occasion.
Susely Morfa, member of the Central Committee of the Party and its first secretary in the province, Governor Mario Sabines Lorenzo, Antonio Victor Gonzalez Imbert, first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the PCC, and Osmar Ramirez Ramirez, general secretary of the Provincial Committee of the CTC Matanzas presided over the ceremony.
Since the arrival of the banner last September 8th, workers of this sector lived days of exchange, with tours to collectives of Jagüey Grande, the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Power Plant and a visit to the Playa Girón Museum in Ciénaga de Zapata.
The National Union of Energy and Mines Workers, which groups workers of this indispensable sector, was created on September 18th, 2013.
