A flag for workers .
Your strategy is deeper and simpler than your tactics. Your strategy, a la Benedetti, is that customers always need you, and come back.
For the eighth time in its history and three in a row, the staff of the Meliá Las Antillas hotel, in Cuba’s main sun and beach destination, is flying the best banner of socialist emulation in Cuba.
It is the National Vanguard flag, which although it was handed over in a central act in Havana, now the joy has taken on greater dimensions because now we put it in the hands of the workers, its true owners, said Estrella Sanchez, general secretary of the union bureau of the Melia Las Antillas hotel.
In a ceremony held on the premises of the hotel, Cubanacán authorities and the provincial Union of Hotel and Tourism Workers recognized the results of a collective reference for the famous Playa Azul.
Sanchez congratulated the men and women of a hotel that received the commemorative plaque for the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Workers’ Union, awarded to centers with outstanding economic achievements and linked to the Union.
When reviewing the performance of the facility, one understands its tactic, which has been to remain in the memory of its guests and, in the attempt, it spares no effort to please them. As a reward, it is loved and that affection is rewarded with the loyalty of a lot of repeat guests, vacationers seduced by this Varadero hotel.
The facility has managed to deal with the problems inherent to any relationship. Cubanacán’s relationship with its customers is not perfect. Nothing is. What does not fail is the daily gallantry to always fall in love.
With 25 years in tourism operations since March 1, the operational concept of Meliá Las Antillas includes its customers, the external ones, but above all its employees, led by the founders, true references for the new incorporations.
Operated under a management contract by the Spanish Meliá and Cubanacán chains, Meliá Las Antillas stands out for its special concept of managing the workforce, to whom «we also celebrate their collective birthdays, stimulate them and take care of their personal problems,» said Sánchez.
Standing out in the famous Playa Azul for the celebration of Cuban days, a space that highlights the traditions and symbols of the country, renovated in its structure, comfort and with a high occupancy rate, Meliá Las Antillas receives this new award.
This 25-year-old young man has it clear. His strategy is deeper and simpler than his tactics. His strategy, a la Benedetti, is that clients always need him, and always come back.
