FC Barcelona drew 3-3 against Club Brugge in their visit to Belgium for the fourth matchday of the Champions League. The Blaugrana salvaged a point in a match marked by their defensive errors.
Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal, and an own goal by Tzolis scored for Barça, who once again displayed the same defensive frailties that have plagued them since the start of the season.
Hansi Flick’s men have yet to find the solidity and rhythm of play that led them to win three titles last season. Their high defensive line remains a weakness that opponents are easily exploiting.
Club Brugge, for their part, played a courageous match and were not intimidated by Barcelona’s status as favorites. Carlos Forbs was the standout player for the Belgian side, directly involved in all three of his team’s goals.
Flick has his work cut out for him. Barcelona needs to improve their performance if they want to maintain their aspirations in the Champions League and the other competitions this season.
