Construction Worker’s Day celebrated in Matanzas.
The celebration of Construction Workers’ Day reinforces the importance of the sector in the country’s economic and social development, as its workers are fundamental in the expansion and conservation of our built heritage.
The Matanzas Construction and Assembly Company, host of the provincial event for Construction Workers’ Day, brought together workers from the sector with outstanding careers in 2025.
During the ceremony, the Armando Mestre medal, named after the martyr of the sector, was awarded to 22 colleagues for dedicating more than 20 and 25 years to this productive activity.
Construction companies with the best socio-economic results during the year were also recognized. This recognition aims to encourage excellence and dedication in construction work throughout the country.
Additionally, Construction Brigade Number Three of the Construction and Assembly Company received the Labor Prowess flag for fulfilling its mission to support the eastern region of the country following the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa.
