Interlinking favors Productos Sanitarios S.A. (Prosa).

The mixed enterprise Productos Sanitarios S.A. (PROSA) seems to have found relief in the linkage with other economic actors, the alliance suggested by the Cuban government, which not a few entities use to get ahead.

Located in this municipality, the industry partnered with several MSMEs, one of them Provocar Sur, to collaborate in the line of toilet paper, napkins and tussue paper, the company announced on its Facebook social network account.

After a particularly difficult 2022 due to the lack of financing and, consequently, of raw material, PROSA is breathing again, keeping its machines running, guaranteeing jobs and is on the verge of concluding well the first semester of the current year.

Manolo González García, general manager, says that thanks to the signing of contracts with MSMEs, they are already producing sanitary products and napkins on a small scale, which allows them to have a greater presence in the market.

In an interview granted to Telebandera, the director of the only factory of this type in the country, highlighted in a significant way what has happened with tourism, its strategic client that guarantees the financing of all its inputs to manufacture towels, napkins, toilet paper, mini-bed sheets.

García highlighted the success they are having with their insertion in the foreign exchange market. He explained that they presented a project to the Chemical Group to access financing sources and «start up the plant on a much more frequent basis», with the added benefits of securing more jobs and increasing the presence in the retail trade.

According to the announcement, the arrival of 76 tons of raw material in the next few days will put PROSA in a better position to continue advancing in the materialization of its production commitments in a context where it is betting on constant innovation to avoid interruptions due to equipment breakage.

In order to meet the demands of the population regarding the delivery of products through more agile mechanisms, the State has placed special emphasis on agro-industrial articulation through new management models and effective relationships between economic actors. This is where PROSA comes to life.
