Very early in the morning, almost before the first rays of sunlight appear, Yadenis is ready to leave her home to undertake a hard day’s work.

Removing leaks, assembling a pipe, welding and installing new connections is the daily routine of this woman who works as a plumber in Matanzas city, considered the first and only one in the hydraulic sector.

Together with her husband and another worker, she is part of the Network Brigade of the Logistic Base Business Unit of the Matanzas Water and Sewage Company.
