Matanzas Scientific and Technological Park receives AFIDE 2023 award
The Matanzas Scientific and Technological Park (Cientex) was awarded the prize for Scientific Innovation at the X International Convention on Physical Activity and Sports (AFIDE 2023), held in Havana from November 27th to 30th.

The award was granted to the Suite de Inteligencia Deportiva computer solution, according to what the institution shared on its social networks.
«The Suite is a computer system that allows real-time sports performance analysis of opponents, in addition to monitoring and control of morpho-functional evolution in physical activity,» they explained.
This program was presented by M. Sc. Diego Castilla Cabrera, president of Cientex, during the exchange panels of the convention, where the Yumurinos also talked with specialists present on topics such as artificial intelligence applied to sport and the potential of scientific collaboration between research centers for the development of Cuban sport.
Regarding the award, the Matanzas institution expressed through its digital platforms: «We share with our followers the joy for this achievement of great importance for all our work team».
The recently concluded AFIDE 2023 was aimed at fostering the exchange, promotion and dissemination of experiences and research results in the areas of sciences applied to physical activity and sports, the training of professionals, their management and direction, as well as the use of free time.
