Minister of Food Industry exchanges with workers of the sector in Matanzas.

Cuban Food Industry Minister Alberto López Díaz held an exchange with workers of the agency’s business system in the province of Matanzas on Tuesday.
The Minister of the Cuban Food Industry, Alberto López Díaz, held on Tuesday an exchange of views with workers of the agency’s entrepreneurial system in the province of Matanzas.
López Díaz presented the results of the objectives for the previous year, and also explained the achievements and failures in the work for 2024.
He discussed the scenario that characterized the past year and pointed out that the current one will not be better, he also referred to the measures taken by the newly elected U.S. president, which are aimed at suffocating the Cuban Revolution.
For the current period to be better, he said, we have to be capable of transforming, with intelligence and work, the difficult conditions generated by the lack of imports, the energy deficit and the blockade as a whole.
He called for diversifying production, perfecting the productive chain, increasing online sales, strengthening relations with non-state management. He paid special attention to accounts receivable and payable, which have become a scourge of our economy.
The head presented the 10 objectives that the Ministry and its dependencies have, at all levels, for 2025, he pointed out as the first objective the ideological political work and highlighted the scope it has.
He also called for special attention to be paid to communication without which, both with internal and external audiences, there can be no good work.
Finally, he acknowledged that the province of Matanzas is in a position to develop a productive year in the food industry sector.
The meeting, which took place in the assembly hall of the provincial government, was attended by Mario Sabines Lorenzo, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the territory and Marieta Poey, provincial governor.
