Pedro Betancourt prepares for May Day (+audios).

With multiple cultural and sports activities, volunteer work days and various initiatives in work centers and communities, union collectives will accompany the traditional May Day parade.
Political and governmental authorities and representatives of the Cuba Trade Union Wokers in Pedro Betancourt municipality met at the Cuba Theater to evaluate the progress of the preparations for the celebration of the upcoming International Workers’ Day.
According to Damaris González Pérez, secretary of the CTC in the locality, the meeting allowed coordinating actions aimed at guaranteeing a massive and organized celebration and ratifying the commitment of the working people with the ideals of the Revolution and the defense of its conquests.

Special attention was also given to the cult to the values and the imprint of the union leaders who once fought for the safeguarding of the nation and the demand for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Island, as well as the support to the Palestinian people and the continuity of the revolutionary principles.
