Projects will be cancelled for those who do not have tax bank accounts.

According to Juan Carlos Vilaseca Méndez, vice chief of the ONAT, those who have not done so in the second fortnight of the current month will have their work projects cancelled.

From the National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) in Matanzas, actions are underway, such as visits to self-employed workers (TCP), to encourage the opening of tax bank accounts for those who still do not have one and are in the private sector.

In the provincial capital, 400 TCPs, 839 workers in the legal sector and 301 usufructuaries have yet to open their accounts.

According to Juan Carlos Vilaseca Méndez, deputy head of the ONAT, those who have not done so in the second fortnight of the current month will have their work projects cancelled.

The fiscal bank accounts are of great importance, since they are an instrument of control that allows ONAT to have control of the taxpayers’ income and thus avoid tax evasion.
