Tomorrow, July 1st, the province of Matanzas will welcome the beginning of summer with numerous activities for the Matanzas family to enjoy the day to the fullest with a variety of recreational and gastronomic offers.
The festivities will be centered in the main parks and squares of each territory, with the installation of more than a thousand recreational areas in the province. Each municipality will define the neighborhoods in transformation where they will flag the 50th Anniversary Guerrilla, which will be in charge of bringing joy to places that are difficult to access.
For its part, the municipality of Matanzas, which will host the opening of the summer, will start with an integrating fair that will allow the presentation of different socio-cultural projects of the José Martí Brigade.
The reinauguration of the Monserrate playground will take place on the same day, at 10:00 a.m., where children will enjoy the installation to the fullest. The reopening of the Atenas nights is a priority for the highest authority of the province with the aim of extending the recreational offers for the people of Matanzas.
Also, starting this Friday, the much awaited Carpa Azul (Blue Tent) will arrive in the city of Matanzas with the performance of the Circo Nacional of Cuba as another option for the beginning of the summer. Tomorrow, Saturday, a nautical show with sails, sponsored by the provincial School of Sports Initiation, will also be held in the bay area.
Taking art to the neighborhoods is a priority for the Artex team of workers in Matanzas. Elio Castro de la Rosa, general manager of the entity in the territory, tells us about the need to get closer to the neighborhoods in order to transmit joy and happiness with the realization of different activities, which will include the presentation of various artists.
According to Castro de la Rosa, the programming of these events will rotate through ten popular councils of the municipality, starting at 6:00 p.m., so that families can enjoy art without having to go to downtown.
