Decrease in births influences infant mortality rate (+audio).

Nearly three thousand births have taken place in Matanzas province this year, a figure lower than that of the same date in 2022. This has a negative influence on the infant mortality rate, which is still above the country’s target.

This is explained by the provincial director of Public Health, Dr. Yamira López García.
