PSG and Real Madrid lose their unbeaten records on a key Champions League matchday.
With this victory, Liverpool regains confidence and remains in the fight to advance to the Champions League round of 16.

In Tuesday’s Champions League matches, the fourth round of fixtures, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid suffered their first defeats in the tournament.
PSG, the reigning European champions, fell 2-1 to Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes.
Colombian Luis Díaz scored both goals for the German side, but was sent off before halftime for a reckless challenge on Achraf Hakimi. Despite playing with a man advantage throughout the second half, the French team was unable to overturn the scoreline.
With this result, Bayern, managed by Vincent Kompany, maintains its perfect record with 16 wins in as many matches across all competitions.

In England, Liverpool defeated Real Madrid 1-0 at Anfield. Argentine Alexis Mac Allister’s goal gave Arne Slot’s side a much-needed victory after several matches without a win.
The English team was superior for much of the game and limited Real Madrid’s attack, who only managed two shots on target. Madrid’s lack of attacking precision prevented them from salvaging any points against an organized and efficient opponent.
With this victory, Liverpool regains confidence and remains in contention to advance to the Champions League round of 16.
