Linemen from Matanzas complete work in the eastern region.
The Antonio Guiteras contingent of Matanzas linemen will depart from Santiago de Cuba in the early hours of Sunday, to arrive at their destination in the afternoon or evening.

Following expressions of gratitude from the people and Party and Government authorities in Santiago de Cuba, the Antonio Guiteras Contingent of linemen, a force that remained in eastern Cuba for over a month, is preparing to return home.
Brigade leader Liván Morales commented that they were received by Beatriz Johnson, First Secretary of the Party in the Hero City, and that in the morning they visited the El Cobre Sanctuary and the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, a particularly significant moment.

Later, the Matanzas native will pay tribute to the intrepid contingent of linemen in a public ceremony at Liberty Park, after they dedicated 35 days to repairing the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa and sharing stories and anecdotes about the profound human significance of solidarity.
