The Christian Orchestra of Cuba, directed by Brazilian Maestro Joel Barbosa de Oliveira, starred in the Grand Christmas Concert this Tuesday afternoon at the Sauto Theater in Matanzas, a National Monument.

Members of the Provincial Concert Band and the Matanzas Symphony Orchestra joined together under the baton of the director to perform a musical repertoire of Christmas carols and Christian hymns.

The show featured prominent Cuban musicians such as Bárbara Llanes, Cuba’s renowned soprano, and local artists like Olga Emilia Blanco, Reinaldo Montalvo, and Vanessa Herrera, as well as graduates of the Alfonso Pérez Isaac Vocational School of Art, who joined the band with their voices.
Some of the classic pieces performed included Christmas Choral Fantasy, Tu Palabra Escondí, and Amazing Grace, renowned works that invite you to celebrate these special holidays with loved ones and embrace faith.

This artistic event was attended by a notable representation of the people of Yumurí who were eager to witness the results of the exchange between two nations with similar historical and cultural traditions.
