Workers from Matanzas´s airport leave its mark at Pedro Betancourt municipality.

Like many other economic actors, managers and workers of the Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport left their mark on the actions that these days make the Pedro Betancourt municipality, winner of the provincial seat for July 26, look beautiful.

The change of image now exhibited by the motel Alamedas, of the Accommodation company, is the work of the collective of the second most important air terminal of the country, for that reason «we transmit our gratitude…», expressed the mayor Gladys Rodríguez López.

In an exchange with the Juan Gualberto Gómez force that participated in the transformations of the motel, Rodríguez López acknowledged the performance of those who «contributed to the improvements».

What happened with the Alamedas lodging is part of the set of social works for the good of the people of a territory that adorn to commemorate with a political-cultural ceremony the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, an event that took place on July the 26th, 1953.

Economic and social balances placed Pedro Betancourt as the best of the thirteen municipalities in the emulation to carry out the provincial act for the relevant anniversary, where other territories with valuable performances and also outstanding labor collectives will be recognized.

The optimization of electrical systems, gardening and other maintenance works are being carried out to make the 28th of September square, venue of the main event, beautiful, although several municipalities have already honored the date of July 26th.

Weighed by its humanist vocation, the Matanzas airfield collective transcends, among other reasons, for its collaboration wherever it is needed, a dedication particularly admired in the town of Carbonera, where it has helped to solve issues that contribute to the quality of life of the inhabitants of that community.
