The celebration of the 70th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes headquarters attracted the attention of provincial directors, local authorities and representatives of different political and mass organizations in Pedro Betancourt  municipality.

Developed in the framework of the designation of the territory as the venue to commemorate the historic date in the province, the exchange became a scenario to specify the preparations of the different entities for the upcoming celebration.

On the basis of the so-called «culture of detail», those present highlighted actions such as the resuscitation of the Félix Rivero polyclinics of the «Bolondrón» and «Cesáreo Sánchez» Popular Councils of the municipal capital, the maintenance of the children’s park of the «Güira de Macuriges» Popular Council, the renovation of the «Enrique Pérez Triana» art gallery and the «Cuba» theater of Pedro Betancourt, the sanitation and beautification of educational, cultural and sports institutions, as well as the main arteries, the neighborhood in transformation «Cuba Libre» and other constructions of the territory.

Likewise, the Municipal Defense Council finalized the details for the Territorial Defense Day to be held next Saturday in zone number two of the «Bolondrón» Popular Council.

The meeting was chaired by Geobel Quintero Hernández, provincial coordinator of the Government in Matanzas, as well as by Hanny Martínez Martínez, Yonel Estrada Ramírez and Gladys Rodríguez López, first secretary of the Party, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power and intendant of the territory, respectively.
