The University welcomes a delegation of Colombian students.

At the opening ceremony of the new academic year, the strategic objectives to be met were discussed, among them, to continue strengthening the political-ideological work in the university environment, as well as to guarantee the quality of the training process of future professionals of the territory and their commitment to the development of the country.

Beyond the academic field, the University of Matanzas worked hard to improve the infrastructure, technical and logistical conditions in order to turn the university into a comfortable space for students, professors and workers.

In the context of the visit made to the Yumurina institution by a delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education (MES) to supervise the preparations for the recently initiated academic year, the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Alicia Alonso Becerra, acknowledged the significant progress made by the center and highlighted how, in spite of some limitations regarding the completion of its human and financial resources, it is in a position to successfully develop the academic year.
