Staged in two days, with main venue in the José White hall, its realization reflects the interest of professionals and students to maintain this movement that has endowed the province and the country with remarkable voices and laurels.
After the inauguration, in charge of professor and musicologist Ileana Pinedo, the performance of the future singers, belonging to the professional school of Art, directed by Susana Pimentel and the selective one by José Alejandro García, gave way on stage to the Chamber Choir of Méndez, in an exquisite recital, with pieces of the international and Cuban repertoire, which incited the repeated ovation of the public.
For the closing of the XV edition of the Spring Choral Concerts, a theoretical event was programmed on the second day at the Gener y del Monte library with the lecture of the outstanding masters of choral singing in the country, María Felicia Pérez Arroyo, Gricel Lince and José Rolando Durán.
As a culmination, the Choir of the Choral Singing Department of the Vocational School of Arts, under the direction of Vanessa Herrera, the group Solecito Cantor, from Cárdenas, conducted by Kenia Molina and the Chamber Choir of the University of the Arts, directed by Gricel Lince, performed in the White Room.
