Celebration of the 66th Anniversary of the CDRs in Matanzas.

And on Sunday, the Matanzas representation, led by the provincial coordinator, will be awarded the status of Outstanding Province in Santa Clara during the national ceremony, a well-deserved recognition of everyone’s efforts and dedication.
The province of Matanzas, along with its municipalities, is immersed in a series of activities to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), an organization founded on September 28th, 1960, in Havana, Cuba.
Since its inception, the CDRs’ mission has been to defend the revolutionary project against potential foreign intervention and internal threats. The celebration is in full swing and will unfold as follows: today, Wednesday, at 5:00 pm, in the Sala White, a ceremony will be held to honor outstanding members of the CDR.
Tomorrow, Thursday, a gala will illuminate Matanzas culture, highlighting local talent. On Friday, the top CDR figures from Matanzas will travel to Havana to receive a special honor: the diploma certifying Matanzas as the best municipal capital in the country and the distinction of Municipality Vanguardia Nacional, awarded by the President of the Republic.
On Saturday morning, cards will be presented to founders and former CDR leaders will be honored in their own communities. In the afternoon, party and government officials from the province will visit grassroots organizations, strengthening the spirit of unity that characterizes the organization.
And on Sunday, the Matanzas representation, led by the provincial coordinator, will be awarded the status of Outstanding Province during the national ceremony in Santa Clara, a well-deserved recognition of everyone’s efforts and dedication.
This Saturday, Radio 26 will dedicate the main topic of its magazine, De Primera Mano, to the 66th Anniversary of the CDR, with a speech by a leader of the organization.
