Cubanacán leads the number of national tourism vanguardias.

The Sol Palmeras, Royalton Hicacos, Meliá Las Américas, Meliá Varadero and Iberostar Selection Varadero hotels deserved such honor, a result consistent with the preference in the country for this fifth type of lodging that raises the reputation of Cuba’s main sun and beach destination.

With five of the eight collectives awarded with the highest category of socialist emulation, the Cubanacan delegation reached the highest number of national vanguard centers of the Provincial Union of Hotel and Tourism Workers in Matanzas.

The Sol Palmeras, Royalton Hicacos, Meliá Las Américas, Meliá Varadero and Iberostar Selection Varadero deserved such honor, a result consistent with the country’s preference for this fifth type of lodging that raises the reputation of Cuba’s main sun and beach destination.

Sol Palmeras stands out in the list, the first hotel under mixed administration in Cuba, with the record of being in this modality the one that has obtained the award the most times, a behavior that is already approached by Royalton Hicacos, the second most successful tourist destination in the province of Yumurina.

The list of winners in this sector is completed by other big ones like Starfish Cuatro Palmas, from Gran Caribe, the Tropical Club, from Islazul, and the Cubatur Varadero travel agency.

The top category of National Vanguard is the highest emulative recognition to which a center for the production of goods and services in the Greater Antilles can aspire, after meeting economic and union management requirements.

In order to aspire to this high recognition, it is required to comply with the income plans, to export services, to do it with efficiency, not to register criminal acts, together with this, to have optimal union performance, and in addition to other demanding parameters. It is not an easy matter. Those who succeed make a difference in the Ministry of Tourism.
