The Provincial Government Council held an extraordinary session in Matanzas with the participation of Esteban Lazo Hernández, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the National Assembly.

In Matanzas, the Provincial Council of Government is holding an extraordinary session with the presence of Esteban Lazo Hernández, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party and president of the National Assembly.

Governor Marieta Poey Zamora presented a report on the implementation of the agreements and decisions adopted at the 11th Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the 6th Session of the National Assembly of People’s Power and the Council of Ministers during the analysis of the plan and budget for 2026.

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz participated via videoconference. Among the agenda items were an analysis of the progress of the program to correct distortions; the functioning of local People’s Power bodies and the status of the population’s concerns; the accountability report of the Governor of Matanzas; and the Prime Minister’s remarks on the province’s performance.
