After a hiatus in the sport, training has been reorganized with improved conditions and a stable work base.
The project serves 45 children in the beginner and Under-13 categories, with an emphasis on technical, tactical, and pedagogical development.
The coach highlighted that discipline is the cornerstone of the process, an element that has allowed for sustained progress in the players’ performance and sportsmanship.
In competition, the Under-13 team is advancing undefeated in the provincial phase, with seven points in the first stage and no losses, a result that reflects the systematic work carried out. Some of the current players come from the Ateneo youth academy and also feed into school and provincial teams.
The installation of the new goalposts in the area was made possible with the direct support of the parents, who have been key to the facility’s renovation and the team’s logistics, resulting in a safer sports area.
The Ateneo is now ready to host provincial competitions again, with accommodations and services available for the participating municipalities, stated Torres Pérez.
