Faced with an infant mortality rate above the country’s rates, health professionals related to this medical specialty are carrying out actions to improve the figures in the province of Matanzas.

Similarly, work is being done to reduce morbidity in children and pregnant women in Matanzas  territory, as explained by the head of the Maternal and Infant Care Program (PAMI), Dr. Armando Arechavaleta Ugarte.
